How to Get Maxed Legendary Aspects in Diablo 4 Season 6: Vessel of Hatred?

Hey, adventurers! Today we wanted to share some insights on how to max out your Legendary Aspects in Diablo 4's latest season, Vessel of Hatred. If you're like me, you may have noticed that some of your Legendary Aspects haven't reached their maximum potential yet. Let's dive into why that is and what you can do to fix it.

Understanding Legendary Aspect Ranges

If you've been playing for a while and you’re checking your Codex of Power, you might wonder why certain Legendary Aspects still aren't maxed out. For example, when I check the Accelerating Aspect, I'm currently sitting at 16 out of 21. There are still 5 more ranks I haven’t unlocked, despite being Paragon 254 and having completed much of the game.

So, what's going on here?

Gear Type Matters

The key to getting those higher ranks of Legendary Aspects (17-21) lies in the type of gear you're using. Here's the breakdown:

  • Ranges 7 through 21 for Legendary Aspects can only drop on ancestral legendary gear. This means that if you're looking at your equipment and it has a star on it, it's eligible to roll higher-tier aspects, including the Accelerating Aspect at its maximum rank.
  • If the item is not ancestral legendary, it will max out at 16 out of 21, which is why some aspects you're using might not be reaching their full potential.

Why Haven't You Maxed Out Yet?

With the recent game changes, particularly in the expansion, bosses are no longer dropping as many legendary items as they used to. Instead, they're more focused on dropping Uniques. This shift means you're seeing fewer opportunities to find ancestral legendary gear, which is where those higher-tier aspects come from.

Now that you know the reason behind this, let’s talk about where you can find the gear that will help you max out your aspects.

Where to Farm Ancestral Legendary Gear

To get those higher-tier aspects, you need ancestral legendary gear. So, where should you go?

1. Infernal Hordes

Your first stop should be Infernal Hordes. These can be found by completing Pit activities, but make sure you've unlocked everything after finishing the campaign. Head over to Ormis in the Kuras Bizar (I'll show you the map later). Check with him to ensure you've completed all his quests. This will unlock key areas like the Dark Citadel and the Undercity, which are crucial for farming.

Once you engage with Infernal Hordes, make sure to click on the Greater Spoils Cache. This will give you more chances to find ancestral legendary gear, which could contain the aspects you're after.

2. Tribute Dungeons (Radiance United or Radiance Resolute)

Another method I recommend is running Tribute Dungeons. These are located in the Dungeon Keys tab, which is the final tab on the right side of your inventory. Look for keys labeled Tribute of Radiance United or Tribute of Radiance Resolute.

  • Radiance Resolute: This is a solo challenge.
  • Radiance United: This is a party-based challenge.

Completing these dungeons gives you a higher chance of acquiring ancestral legendary gear. If you can run these with clanmates or friends, it’ll help you farm more efficiently. The more you run, the better your chances of getting those maxed-out aspects.

3. Seething Opal of Equipment

Lastly, you might want to use a Seething Opal of Equipment. This item can sometimes grant you additional drops of gear, further increasing your chances of getting ancestral legendary items. While it’s not a guaranteed method, any extra drops could help you find the pieces you're missing.
