1. Nightmare Dungeons Are Now Fun and Rewarding

Nightmare Dungeons have become more rewarding and engaging. One major change is that you no longer need to farm these dungeons for Glyphic XP. Instead, they focus on providing Masterwork materials, especially Opticide. Every elite, event, and mob drops Opticide, giving you a reason to explore and clear every part of the dungeon.

To start farming Opticide, you'll need to reach level 60 and complete Pit Level 20. This unlocks Torment 1, where you can start collecting materials and upgrading your gear. The process of masterworking items is also more streamlined, with cheaper costs for upgrading gear.

2. Account-Wide Paragon Points

One of the biggest quality-of-life improvements is the introduction of account-wide Paragon points. Once a character reaches level 60, they automatically gain access to all Paragon points earned by other characters. This boosts your progression and allows you to start stronger with each new character.

With this change, you only need to farm Renown once per account, making leveling up new characters much faster and more efficient.

3. New Paragon Board Design and Bonuses

The Paragon boards have been updated with new nodes and designs. You’ll now find bonuses like resistance to all elements, damage to elites, attack speed, max life, and more. The new boards are tailored to fit the increased difficulty of the higher Tormenttiers, offering meaningful upgrades that can significantly boost your power.

4. Upgraded Aspects for More Power

Aspects have been buffed across the board. Many aspects, such as the Aspect of Reanimation and Aspect of the Damned, now have up to 45% and 55% bonuses, respectively. This extra power helps players tackle the tougher Torment difficulties with greater ease. Keep an eye out for these enhanced aspects to maximize your build’s potential.

5. Torment Tiers and Experience Boosts

The new Tormentsystem offers increasing difficulty and better rewards as you progress. Starting at level 50, you can unlock Torment 1 by completing Pit Level 20. Each Torment level adds more experience and gold. For example:

  • Torment 1 gives 300% more XP and gold, along with the chance to drop Ancestralitems (the new higher-tier uniques).

  • Torment 2 offers 400% more XP and gold, but also reduces your armor and resistances.

The higher you go in Torment, the better the loot and experience, but you’ll also face tougher enemies and harder stat checks.

6. Strongholds and Whispers are Worth Your Time

Strongholds and Whispers are now incredibly rewarding, especially in higher World Tiers. Completing a stronghold can net you multiple levels due to the increased XP scaling with each World Tier. Whispers, similarly, provide significant XP rewards and can help you level up quickly while farming valuable loot.

7. Masterworking Gear Efficiently

Masterworking gear is now easier than ever with the streamlined material requirements. You can upgrade items up to 12 times, with Opticide being the key material. The costs scale with each upgrade tier, starting at 10, 20, 30, and 40 Opticide, and increasing as you continue.

By efficiently farming Nightmare Dungeons and Tormentbosses, you can quickly gather the materials needed to fully masterwork your gear and prepare for higher Tormenttiers.

8. Crafting Mythic Uniques

Mythic Uniques are a new tier of gear that can be crafted once you gather enough Resplendant Sparks. These items are always Ancestral, meaning they have the highest possible item power (800) and come with enhanced stats.

To craft a Mythic Unique, you’ll need to destroy a regular unique and have enough sparks. As you progress through the higher Tormenttiers, you’ll also start finding Mythic Uniques from bosses, further boosting your power.

9. Armor and Resistances Matter More Than Ever

As you progress through Tormenttiers, armor and resistances become critical to your survival. Each Tormenttier reduces your resistances by a significant percentage, making it essential to invest in resistance nodes on your Paragon board or use gear with high resistance stats.

Additionally, using gems like Grand Skullscan significantly boost your total armor and survivability. As the difficulty ramps up, don’t neglect these important defensive stats.

10. Upgrade Glyphs Through the Pit

Glyphs are upgraded by completing Pit levels, and the deeper you go, the faster you can level them up. Each Pit level gives you a chance to upgrade your Glyphs, with higher pit levels offering a bonus to the number of upgrades.

For example, if you’re doing Pit Level 22 and your Glyph is significantly lower, you can get up to +2 upgrades per run. This makes the Pit not only a great place to test your build but also to power up your Glyphs quickly.
