All bows and crossbows in Lords of the Fallen can be equipped in the ranged weapon slots. They have three ammunition slots to hold different arrow or bolt types for varying damage and effects. The type of ammunition used affects the attack's damage type and amount. Furthermore, bows and crossbows scale their attack damage based on the player's Strength and Agility attributes. Investing Lords of the Fallen vigor points in these two attributes is key to boosting a bow's potential.

1. Assassin's Bow

The Assassin's Bow is arguably the best bow in Lords of the Fallen. Its well-balanced stats make it great for any combat situation. With A+ Agility scaling when fully upgraded, it deals high damage, especially for dexterity-focused builds. The Assassin's Bow has a fast draw speed and good ammo efficiency, allowing several shots before consuming an Ammunition Pouch or Satchel. Its reliable damage and versatility cement it as the top ranged weapon.

2. Harrower Dervla's Crossbow

This unique automatic crossbow unleashes bolts in quick succession like a medieval Gatling gun. Its incredibly high DPS makes short work of enemies and bosses. However, Harrower Dervla's Crossbow requires hefty investments in Strength and Agility to reach its full potential. Players must also defeat the Unbroken Promise boss and trade its Remembrance to unlock purchasing this crossbow. Despite the steep requirements, its unmatched damage output makes it a top choice for ranged builds.

3. Multi-Shot Crossbow

As the name suggests, the Multi-Shot Crossbow fires multiple bolts with each shot for added damage at the cost of using more ammunition. With A+ Strength scaling when fully upgraded, it works best with heavy Strength builds. The triple bolt blast melts enemies quickly, making it ideal for high vigor builds. However, the high ammo consumption requires keeping multiple stacks of bolts handy.

4. Bow of the Mutilated

This dual-stat bow scales with both Agility and Strength when upgraded, offering good damage for balanced builds. With ratings of A- Agility and C Strength at max level, players can invest points in either stat to improve the bow. It's acquired relatively early so it can carry players through much of the game. The Bow of the Mutilated provides high damage for a wide variety of builds.

5. Lightning Bow

As the name suggests, this bow imbues shots with lightning damage. Against enemies weak to lightning, it shreds through health bars rapidly. The Lightning Bow scales purely with Strength, making it suited for high vigor melee builds. Its long reach combined with electric attacks helps chip down foes from a safe distance. The lightning shots also briefly stun targets, interrupting their attacks.

6. Dragon's Breath

This bow shoots incendiary arrows that explode on impact, dealing fire damage in an area of effect. Any enemies caught within the blast radius take heavy damage. While the Dragon's Breath has middling Agility and Strength scaling ratings, its explosive arrows can decimate groups of enemies. It's also effective against adversaries weak to fire attacks. Just be careful not to catch yourself in the blasts!

While cumbersome and slow, a clean hit from the Heavy Crossbow can make short work of even the heartiest foes.
